Welcome to the first and exclusive “Private Resort” that offers you more than just a new concept, but also a new experience. Nestled in 2.5 hectares, Ketapang will surprise you through the amenities, intimacy, style and charm of its suites and not to mention the smiley, gentle and well-trained twenty-five staff at your service. Ketapang Villa is located on the authentic and picturesque southwest coast of Bali. Amazing place for the sunset, the “Golden Coast” provides the best real beachfront estates of the island. It is surrounded by the ocean and infinity rice terraces, to enjoy and relax in a tranquil place. The unspoiled beach is yours!

Ketapang Villa is not just closed to the beach, but it is ON the beach, offering 300-meter wide beachfront. Ketapang amenities will invite you to discover all the charm of Bali both modern and traditional, and more valuable pieces of art from many other islands of Indonesia. Surrounded by the thoughtfully landscaped natural garden, gym antique house, two pools, tennis court, two Jacuzzis, organic kitchen garden, soothing fish pond and helipad will definitely make your stay at Ketapang Villa unforgettable and remarkable

The movie? 20 guests can lay down comfortably on spacious sofa in our private theatre with a great choice of movies. The exercise? Work out of your muscles in either of our two pools, lighted tennis court or oceanfront gym then relax in our main Jacuzzi on the beach. The massage? Pamper your body and soul in our spa, in the middle of a pond, in which you will not only enjoy the Balinese magic fingers but also you will be stunned by the ocean which is distantly 5 meters from you only. The bedrooms? All the suites are minimum 100m2 with either ocean view or beachfront.

The Villas
Sited on two and half hectares, Ketapang Villa displayed along the beach, antique and Balinese style buildings over more than 2.200m2. Scattered around the main house (main “bale”), in a natural and blissful garden, the seven suites host the guests in a harmonious combination of luxury and authenticity. The 400 open square meters upstairs part of the main bale accommodates the two dining areas, scenic but cosy living room, and two terraces facing the infinity. Whilst, the ground floor architecturally and designedly marries the professional kitchen, cool dining room, private theatre and the seventh suites.

Sleeping
100m2 min with a walk-in wardrobe, working desk, comfortable lounge, wi-fi high speed internet access, MP3 player dock, satellite TV, safety box, mini-bar and air-condition are the least comfort you can enjoy in each suite. Ketapang’s philosophy does not only provide you the equipments and services but also to make you feel like home.

Pantai Suite
“Beach” in Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language). Pantai Suite is only 15meters above the high tide waves. Its private Jacuzzi on the terrace and facing the ocean is the perfect suite for honeymooners and aesthetes. The lavish bathroom opens to its private colourful garden and has outdoor shower. PICTURES (e-link toward this suite pictures).

Air Suite
Water in Bahasa Indonesia. Surrounded by the waters of its fountains, the suite tempts its guests to discover old carved wooden doors and an amazing solid bathtub dug in a single rock of two and half meters length.

Padi Suite
Rice in Bahasa Indonesia. Located on the highest point of the property, with a 360o view, from rice terraces until the ocean, this perfectly circle suite is the most sensory one of the estate. It is so confusing that you will not even understand how possible to have a natural rain shower inside your own bathroom.

Karang Suite
Rock in Bahasa Indonesia. Exceptionally hosted in the ground floor of the main bale, this rocky suite provides a huge but closed bathroom. This is for shy guests who do not wish to share their intimacy with a private garden.

Joglo Waru
Joglo is the name for a traditional wooden Javanese house. Dropped on a rock, between the river and fall, brings the guests back to the childhood’s experience about living in a tree house. Dated more than 100 years, this outstanding double height ceiling Joglo is a pinnacle of Indonesian elegance. Also its open bathroom surrounded by local trees called Waru offers and impressive ambiance.

Joglo Pandan
Only two meters from the beach like no other bedrooms in all around Bali, the Joglo Pandan proposes the elegance, charm and huge space of its antique house. The frosted windows bathroom makes the guests feel both inside and outside.

Joglo Bambu
Secluded from the other suites by its bamboo hedge, this Joglo Bambu enables you to swim in your own 70m2 private pool and to relax in your own garden bale for a blissful massage or just to face the infinity of the ocean. The floating rock bathtub on a fish pond makes you feel being in the seventh heaven.

Swimming Pool
The pool at Ketapang Villa is another amazing creation; not only for its Olympic length of 50 meters (the only private one in Bali again) but also for being 5-meter distance share from the beach. So just jump from the pool to the ocean!

Living
Alone and altogether. Relaxing and entertaining. So many options for living areas are possible at Ketapang Villa:
- the deck on the beach: sunny during the day, facing the waves, thrilling and romantic for sunset, and cosy for a cocktail
- many places around the garden that our staff will invite you to discover

Bar
The bar, hidden in the four legs of the life-guard chair, is a great place to gather all the family or friends for the sunset or aperitif. Enjoy our cocktails or create your own. The beach makes them taste so much better. The 16m2 scenic wine cellar is the secret of how to keep our wines in the best conditions for both Bali and foreign producers.

Getting to Villa Babar incorporates a delightful journey through traditional villages, via quiet country roads, wooded valleys, causeways across rivers and, finally, a simple track that winds through the swaying fields of rice.

Upon arrival, your senses will be awakened by the purity, spirit and timelessness of an extraordinary landscape. You will be greeted by welcoming Balinese smiles, the fragrance of tropical flowers and the constant sound of the waves.

The two-storey villa is characterised by white Yogya stone walls, cream terrazzo tiled floors, limewashed timbers, and a colonnaded walkway on either side, on both ground and upper floor levels. A single-storey guest wing, linked to the main building, presents two guestrooms and a media room. The style is modern and minimalist, cleverly blending sophisticated elegance with the ambience of the setting. The architectural concept reveals comfort and simplicity, while the interiors unobtrusively introduce natural materials, fabrics, and colours. There isn’t anything ostentatious about this villa; the chic simplicity ensures that nothing detracts from the incredible view.

The awesome vista takes in Bali’s chain of volcanoes from the mighty Mt Agung in the east, to Mt Pohen, Mt Sangkiang and Mt Batukau – the island’s second highest volcano – which rises from its foothills just 20 kilometres away, and majestically stands guard over Villa Babar. On the seaward side is a windswept beach of glistening black sand, and a coastal panorama that extends all the way down to Uluwatu on Bali’s southwestern tip. On a clear day you can see Java; to the east you can watch the sunrise behind Mt Agung and, to the west, the sunsets are amazing.

Living Room
The villa is entered via an impressive open-air living room, complete with a soaring roof and an upper gallery on either side. Ocean breezes keep this welcoming living space delightfully fresh and cool.

It is simply furnished with large and comfortable cream sofas, ottomans, and a pair of carved coffee tables from Timor, together with a primitive Timorese wooden statue. A floating Yogya stone staircase leads to the upper floor, and a colourful framed patchwork of painted wood brings a splash of colour to the wall. This tropical room is open on two sides – on the seaward side is the garden, swimming pool and the ocean, while on the inland side is an ornamental pond presided over by a ‘floating’ 2.5-metre-high Buddha statue. Beyond the statue is an infinite vista of ricefields, unbroken by borders and fences, stretching as far as the eye can see. In another direction, a line of palm tress and jungle follows the path of a river.

Dining Room
The open plan dining room adjoins the feature kitchen, and has sliding glass doors on three sides, designed to be opened for a semi alfresco dining experience or closed when it becomes too breezy. A teak dining table, complete with stool seating, can accommodate up to 18 guests. With fabulous views of the garden, swimming pool and ocean, the dining room is complemented by mood lighting at night, and serenaded constantly by the rhythmic crashing of the waves on the beach below.

Kitchen
Open plan and adjacent to the dining room, Villa Babar’s immaculate, designer kitchen reveals a discriminating taste for functional beauty and cutting-edge style. It is fully equipped with an imported oven and five-burner hob, a double-door refrigerator, a built-in wine cellar and wine fridge, a cappuccino/espresso machine, a microwave, and everything else that the chef needs in order to prepare delicious meals in accordance with your whims. This bright and airy kitchen is further enhanced by a sliding glass door at the far end overlooking the ricefields. A wet kitchen is tucked away out of sight at the back, linked by a hatch.

Lounge
Entered from the open-air living space via antique double doors from Java, the spacious lounge features three sets of sliding glass doors on two sides, which maximise the views and allow for the cross ventilation of sea breezes. Alternatively, these doors can be closed for air-conditioned comfort. Furnished with an L-shaped segmented sofa, ottomans and a coffee table handcrafted from coffee wood, the room is equipped with a sophisticated Harman/Kardon music system presenting surround sound with seven speakers and a wide choice of music. There is also a billiard table and a selection of books and games to keep you entertained. A fitted shelf unit showcases some fascinating Indonesian artefacts including stone carvings and wooden statues, in addition to some tribal shields from Irian Jaya.

Media Room
The media room is positioned in the single storey wing, with views of the mountains and ricefields. This spacious home theatre is equipped with a big, flat screen, satellite-channel TV and DVD player, as well as a library of books, DVDs and a computer for guest use with Broadband internet access.

Garden
There are gardens on all sides of the villa, including the Ganesha garden, and the Sumba garden, which is distinguished by a cluster of enchanting statues from Sumba. The entrance garden showcases an ornamental pond, presided over by a towering Buddha statue. The front garden is dominated by the swimming pool and a helipad rests to one side, for guests who choose to arrive in style with a thrilling helicopter ride along Bali’s dramatic coastline. The garden is just footsteps away from the beach on an elevated buff, 13 metres above sea level. The beach is good for surfing although the strong currents make it dangerous for swimming. A walk along the beach at sunset is delightful.

The Swimming Pool
The enticing 27 x 11 meter swimming pool is ideal for swimming laps, it is curved on one side, following the contours of the terraced garden, and there is a shelf at the inner edge, which is a nice place for relaxing in cool shallow water.

Bedrooms
Each bedroom is equipped with a safe deposit box and an iPod dock, and each has an ensuite bathroom. All bedrooms are blessed with magnificent views of the coastline, ocean and gardens, or the mountains and ricefields, or – in the case of the master bedroom – a panoramic vista in all directions. While all of the bedrooms feature white walls and simple furnishings, each portrays a theme inspired by the Indonesian culture. Wherever you choose to sleep, the melody of the waves will lull you to sleep.

6 Unique Bedrooms
Babar is the master bedroom, characterised by glass doors on two sides, enabling access from both sides of the building. There is also hanging space, a fitted sideboard, wooden statues from Kalimantan, and a desk next to a wide window, overlooking the ricefields and Mt Batukau. There is a broad sunny terrace at the front of this room, offering wonderful views of the coastline and the night sky. Accessed by glass doors, the ensuite bathroom is light and airy, long and spacious, with picture windows positioned on three sides to maximise the stunning views. The bathroom is fitted with double washbasins, mirrors, a toilet, and double rainshowers.

The room is decorated with artefacts from the Borneo’s legendary headhunters, the Dayak tribesmen, who inhabit Kalimantan’s deep interior highlands. The ensuite bathroom is the same as the bathroom adjoining the Toraja guestroom.

Agung The Agung guestroom is located in the single-storey wing with views of the mountains and ricefields. It is furnished with twin beds that can be pushed together, and features built-in hanging space in one corner and storage shelves behind the bed. It is named after Mt Agung, Bali’s highest and most sacred volcano, which can be seen from this bedroom on clear days, especially in the mornings and evenings. A painting of the mountain adorns one wall. Sliding glass doors open to the gardens on two sides of the room. The pretty garden bathroom is fitted with twin washbasins, a toilet and a raindrop shower that is open to the stars. The garden is planted with an ancient frangipani tree.

The absolute beachfront, Villa Pushpapuri is located near the traditional village of Ketewel on Bali’s south-east coast. This stunning villa boasts four bedrooms, a 20-metre infinity-edge swimming pool, a splendid living & dining room, and a games room, complemented by the finest furnishings and a five-star standard of service. Bounded by the River Wos and a rugged surf beach. Furthermore, it is blessed with spectacular outlook: across the ocean towards the beaches of Keramas and the islands of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, and over the pounding surf to the unrivalled grandeur of sacred Mt Agung…’the finest view in the land of dreams’.

Entrance
Guests will enter the villa through a large watergarden comprised of four fishponds complete with bubbling fountains. This delightful courtyard area is planted with yellow irises, torch ginger, and a pair of ancient frangipani trees, while the walls are decorated with hand-carved Palimanan stone friezes depicting ocean and river themes. There is a secure car park and garage at the entrance.

Living and Dining Pavilion
Approaching the large living and dining pavilion, the ocean is immediately visible through the glass walls, which form three sides of this stand-alone building. A statue of Ganesha rests on one side of the glass entrance doors beside a sparkling wall of water cascading down to a lower level. The rectangular-shaped pavilion features a marble floor and a soaring roof lined with rattan. The sliding glass doors can be opened to allow the sea breezes and the rhythmic sounds of the waves to penetrate, and the room can also be cooled by ceiling fans. A circular dining table for eight is positioned at one end. The other side of the pavilion is furnished with two sofas, lazy chairs, an ottoman, a coffee table, handcrafted lamps and local artefacts. A small kitchen is positioned next to the dining area and a fully equipped service kitchen is located in the staff service area. Guests also have the option of dining alfresco on the elevated terrace in front of the pavilion, which overlooks the garden and the pool and the ocean, and is furnished with an outdoor dining table and chairs. A guest washroom is situated immediately outside the living and dining pavilion.

Games Room
A stone staircase leads from the living pavilion down to the air-conditioned games room, complete with an arched wooden ceiling and an adjoining, open-air, walled courtyard. The games room is equipped with a pool table, a dart board, a wood-panelled bar with six bar chairs, a luxurious leather sofa, and a 40″ LCD screen satellite TV, ideal for watching sports. The courtyard is open to the sky, bordered by a water cascade, and furnished with a synthetic rattan bar table and high chairs, together with a coffee table and chairs.

Master Suite
The 2-storey master suite comprises the ground floor master bedroom and en-suite bathroom, and an upstairs study together with a DVD room.

The air-conditioned master bedroom embraces a green theme with a cool marble floor and a built-in daybed. Sliding glass doors open onto the stone terrace on the one side and a timber deck on the other side, offering wonderful ocean views. The bedroom is furnished with a king size, canopied, four-poster bed and a lazy chair. Sumptuous cushions, golden Buddhas and an LCD satellite TV and DVD/CD player, complete the picture of luxury. An en-suite dressing area presents built-in teakwood wardrobes with shelves, drawers and a safe deposit box, and vanity unit with twin washbasins and a large wall mirror. A toilet is tucked away in a cubicle. A rainshower and a large, sunken Jacuzzi are positioned in an adjoining open-air walled courtyard, complete with a fish pond, potted plants and a Palimanan stone frieze.

A downstairs hallway is accessed via a door from the master bedroom and also from an external door. From here, a set of stairs leads up to a cosy, air-conditioned sitting room boasting an aquamarine theme. Equipped with a DVD player, a Playstation, a low opium table, a sideboard, and a corner sofa that can be converted to twin beds, this room is ideal for children and adults alike. Next door is an air-conditioned study with windows on three sides that can be folded open to the breeze, offering an eye-boggling 270-degree view of the river estuary, the mountains, the beach, the ocean and the neighbouring islands. Featuring dark purple walls, the study is furnished with a desk, chair, large sofa and shelf unit. WiFi Internet access is available throughout the villa.

Guest Bedrooms
The main guest bedroom is on the ground floor under a soaring roof, with sliding glass doors on two sides. Characterised by an olive green theme, it is similar to the master bedroom, furnished with a king-size bed and equipped with air-conditioning, a built-in daybed, an LCD satellite TV and DVD/CD player. A timber deck at the front is furnished with a table and a pair of planter chairs. The air-conditioned dressing area presents a wardrobe, a safe deposit box, a reading desk and a full length mirror. The en-suite open-air bathroom features a terrazzo vanity unit with wash basin, a toilet within an alcove, and a rainshower, harmonised with a fishpond, creamy-white Palimanan stone walls and floor, and a hand-carved frieze.

The other two air-conditioned guestrooms are ideal for children. Located on ground level, one is furnished with twin beds and the other with a queen-size, four-poster bed. Each is equipped with an LCD satellite TV and DVD/CD player. Three steps lead from each bedroom down to dressing areas, each fitted with a wardrobe, a safe deposit box, and a vanity unit with a washbasin. The twin-bedded room features a toilet within a cubicle on this level. En-suite garden bathrooms present outdoor rainshowers. The room with the queen bed boasts an additional rainshower indoors, and a bathtub and toilet positioned in the private, walled, outdoor area.

Garden & Pool
The beautiful garden is punctuated with coconut palms and dominated by a 20 x 4 metre, infinity-edge lap pool that follows the line of the beach and is elevated above a beachside lawn. A large ‘bale bengong’ relaxation pavilion is situated at one end of the pool and fitted with two, large mattresses, making it an ideal spot for a massage. At the other end of the pool is a wood-panelled pool bar with a pitched roof. The pool deck is furnished with sunloungers and umbrellas. There is also a pool shower. The expansive gardens make Villa Pushpapuri the perfect setting for barbeques, weddings, parties and other special events, including open-air Balinese dance performances. If required, the catering can be managed by external caterers who have the world-class expertise to prepare a sumptuous feast in addition to the coordination of decorations, flowers, lighting and entertainment.

Staff Services
Pushpapuri is supported by the exemplary service of a carefully selected team of highly trained, friendly staff who will do everything within their power to ensure that guests at the villa enjoy a truly luxurious and relaxing experience. The team is headed by a villa manager who will oversee and coordinate the staff and property, and is available to assist guests during their stay. There is also a cook, trained in the preparation of both Asian and Western cuisine, and personal butlers who are on hand to pamper and look after every guest need. Additionally, the team includes housekeepers, a gardener and pool attendant, and security guards operating on a 24-hour shift basis. The staff are responsible for all the market shopping, in accordance with the whims of the guests. Baby-sitting and massage services and the facilities of a car and driver are also available on request at an extra charge.

Location
Quiet and safe, Villa Pushpapuri is situated close to the pretty village of Ketewel on Bali’s south-east coast. The streets of the village are lined with leafy trees; a small intersection is the venue of a fruit and vegetable market, and colourful temple ceremonies are a common sight. The Sanur-Kusumba by-pass, from Seminyak to Candidasa, has made this rural area accessible to the rest of the island and positions the villa within easy driving distance of Bali’s tourist attractions. Pushpapuri is just 45 minutes’ drive from Bali’s international airport, 30 minutes from the cultural town of Ubud, ten minutes from Sukawati art and handicraft market, ten minutes from Sanur, and 30-45 minutes from the restaurants, shops and nightlife of Kuta and Seminyak. The diversity of the island presents everything from diving, cruising and trekking, to adventure sports and theme parks. Horse riding takes place at the neighbouring Saba stables, and three of the best golf courses in the world are located within easy reach. Ketewel village is the origin of the famous Legong Bededari Dance, while the nearby village of Sawa historically produced the finest Legong dancers on the island. The beach of Pabean was once a small port through which oriental traders brought their products; at low tide you can still see the structure of the old harbour, and a Chinese cemetery is located nearby. Balinese Hindu purification ceremonies are held beside the ocean at the sacred Pura Segara sea temple, and the adjacent reef is renowned for its world class surf breaks.

Entry
You enter this property via a gang that is quiet and private and a security guard is on call if required. The moment you enter this property you will be charmed. To the left of the front door, up a few steps, under an undercover walkway is a raised tiled platform with a round table and 4 chairs. On the wall is a Balinese scene and below a fishpond with water feature and lanterns to add an ambient atmosphere for guests to enjoy some quiet, reflective time. The kitchen is located just off this area so as not to disturb guests in the main pavilion.

Kitchen
The kitchen has a large double cooker and oven as well as two fridges. With housekeeping available, one can enjoy cooked meals in the dining room or outside around the pool. The kitchen has sufficient pans, crockery and cutlery to meet the needs of guests.

Living and Dining Area
The undercover walkway joins the reflective area and the main pavilion of this Joglo. As you walk up the steps you face an open area that is the living room. To the left are two wooden benches with cream mattresses and a number of red and gold scatter cushions are used for backrests. A beautiful stone-carved coffee table with glass on the top adds a creative touch. A TV is on the wall and DVD, stereo and telephone are placed on a stone caved bench underneath.

The dining table and 6 chairs are beautiful antique pieces. This setting is directly overlooking the pool and in front of the living area.

Bedrooms

The master bedroom is a large room that opens to the outside. A king sized bed with wooden bedside tables on either side grace the room with lamps to read by. A carved golden headpiece lies on the wall behind the bed and gold coloured cushions add to the colour scheme of the room. In the corner by the outside door is a beautiful wooden writing desk. Large wardrobes, shower with rain shower tap, toilet and a large bathtub in grey marble, add to the luxury within this room. Just outside of the master bedroom is a wooden daybed with a white cushioned seat and bright red cushions scattered to rest ones back.

The second bedroom, opposite the master bedroom is decorated in shades of red. A king sized bed with wooden bedside tables on either side grace the room with golden-based lamps. The bathroom has a plethora of wardrobes and recessed in one corner is a dressing table with large mirror. A window lets in natural light and there is a single basin located below it. A large grey marble bath and toilet as well as shower are available for guests.

A stunning, small Lumbung with balcony and stairs has been converted into one of the rooms and houses two single beds with mosquito nets surrounding the bed. The Lumbung sits by the pool and is away from the main building. Due to its size, bathroom facilities are shared with the second bedroom.

Swimming pool
The swimming pool is an odd rectangular shape. Behind a small wall that opens onto the beach are 4 sun lounges and beside that a bale with red mattresses and red triangular backrests that are low to the ground. An outdoor shower modelled against a stonewall is also available for the Lumbung bedroom or pool usage.
