Welcome to the first and exclusive “Private Resort” that offers you more than just a new concept, but also a new experience. Nestled in 2.5 hectares, Ketapang will surprise you through the amenities, intimacy, style and charm of its suites and not to mention the smiley, gentle and well-trained twenty-five staff at your service. Ketapang Villa is located on the authentic and picturesque southwest coast of Bali. Amazing place for the sunset, the “Golden Coast” provides the best real beachfront estates of the island. It is surrounded by the ocean and infinity rice terraces, to enjoy and relax in a tranquil place. The unspoiled beach is yours!

Ketapang Villa is not just closed to the beach, but it is ON the beach, offering 300-meter wide beachfront. Ketapang amenities will invite you to discover all the charm of Bali both modern and traditional, and more valuable pieces of art from many other islands of Indonesia. Surrounded by the thoughtfully landscaped natural garden, gym antique house, two pools, tennis court, two Jacuzzis, organic kitchen garden, soothing fish pond and helipad will definitely make your stay at Ketapang Villa unforgettable and remarkable

The movie? 20 guests can lay down comfortably on spacious sofa in our private theatre with a great choice of movies. The exercise? Work out of your muscles in either of our two pools, lighted tennis court or oceanfront gym then relax in our main Jacuzzi on the beach. The massage? Pamper your body and soul in our spa, in the middle of a pond, in which you will not only enjoy the Balinese magic fingers but also you will be stunned by the ocean which is distantly 5 meters from you only. The bedrooms? All the suites are minimum 100m2 with either ocean view or beachfront.

The Villas
Sited on two and half hectares, Ketapang Villa displayed along the beach, antique and Balinese style buildings over more than 2.200m2. Scattered around the main house (main “bale”), in a natural and blissful garden, the seven suites host the guests in a harmonious combination of luxury and authenticity. The 400 open square meters upstairs part of the main bale accommodates the two dining areas, scenic but cosy living room, and two terraces facing the infinity. Whilst, the ground floor architecturally and designedly marries the professional kitchen, cool dining room, private theatre and the seventh suites.

Sleeping
100m2 min with a walk-in wardrobe, working desk, comfortable lounge, wi-fi high speed internet access, MP3 player dock, satellite TV, safety box, mini-bar and air-condition are the least comfort you can enjoy in each suite. Ketapang’s philosophy does not only provide you the equipments and services but also to make you feel like home.

Pantai Suite
“Beach” in Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language). Pantai Suite is only 15meters above the high tide waves. Its private Jacuzzi on the terrace and facing the ocean is the perfect suite for honeymooners and aesthetes. The lavish bathroom opens to its private colourful garden and has outdoor shower. PICTURES (e-link toward this suite pictures).

Air Suite
Water in Bahasa Indonesia. Surrounded by the waters of its fountains, the suite tempts its guests to discover old carved wooden doors and an amazing solid bathtub dug in a single rock of two and half meters length.

Padi Suite
Rice in Bahasa Indonesia. Located on the highest point of the property, with a 360o view, from rice terraces until the ocean, this perfectly circle suite is the most sensory one of the estate. It is so confusing that you will not even understand how possible to have a natural rain shower inside your own bathroom.

Karang Suite
Rock in Bahasa Indonesia. Exceptionally hosted in the ground floor of the main bale, this rocky suite provides a huge but closed bathroom. This is for shy guests who do not wish to share their intimacy with a private garden.

Joglo Waru
Joglo is the name for a traditional wooden Javanese house. Dropped on a rock, between the river and fall, brings the guests back to the childhood’s experience about living in a tree house. Dated more than 100 years, this outstanding double height ceiling Joglo is a pinnacle of Indonesian elegance. Also its open bathroom surrounded by local trees called Waru offers and impressive ambiance.

Joglo Pandan
Only two meters from the beach like no other bedrooms in all around Bali, the Joglo Pandan proposes the elegance, charm and huge space of its antique house. The frosted windows bathroom makes the guests feel both inside and outside.

Joglo Bambu
Secluded from the other suites by its bamboo hedge, this Joglo Bambu enables you to swim in your own 70m2 private pool and to relax in your own garden bale for a blissful massage or just to face the infinity of the ocean. The floating rock bathtub on a fish pond makes you feel being in the seventh heaven.

Swimming Pool
The pool at Ketapang Villa is another amazing creation; not only for its Olympic length of 50 meters (the only private one in Bali again) but also for being 5-meter distance share from the beach. So just jump from the pool to the ocean!

Bar
The bar, hidden in the four legs of the life-guard chair, is a great place to gather all the family or friends for the sunset or aperitif. Enjoy our cocktails or create your own.

Getting to Villa Babar incorporates a delightful journey through traditional villages, via quiet country roads, wooded valleys, causeways across rivers and, finally, a simple track that winds through the swaying fields of rice.

Upon arrival, your senses will be awakened by the purity, spirit and timelessness of an extraordinary landscape. You will be greeted by welcoming Balinese smiles, the fragrance of tropical flowers and the constant sound of the waves.

The two-storey villa is characterised by white Yogya stone walls, cream terrazzo tiled floors, limewashed timbers, and a colonnaded walkway on either side, on both ground and upper floor levels. A single-storey guest wing, linked to the main building, presents two guestrooms and a media room. The style is modern and minimalist, cleverly blending sophisticated elegance with the ambience of the setting. The architectural concept reveals comfort and simplicity, while the interiors unobtrusively introduce natural materials, fabrics, and colours. There isn’t anything ostentatious about this villa; the chic simplicity ensures that nothing detracts from the incredible view.

The awesome vista takes in Bali’s chain of volcanoes from the mighty Mt Agung in the east, to Mt Pohen, Mt Sangkiang and Mt Batukau – the island’s second highest volcano – which rises from its foothills just 20 kilometres away, and majestically stands guard over Villa Babar. On the seaward side is a windswept beach of glistening black sand, and a coastal panorama that extends all the way down to Uluwatu on Bali’s southwestern tip. On a clear day you can see Java; to the east you can watch the sunrise behind Mt Agung and, to the west, the sunsets are amazing.

Living Room
The villa is entered via an impressive open-air living room, complete with a soaring roof and an upper gallery on either side. Ocean breezes keep this welcoming living space delightfully fresh and cool.

It is simply furnished with large and comfortable cream sofas, ottomans, and a pair of carved coffee tables from Timor, together with a primitive Timorese wooden statue. A floating Yogya stone staircase leads to the upper floor, and a colourful framed patchwork of painted wood brings a splash of colour to the wall. This tropical room is open on two sides – on the seaward side is the garden, swimming pool and the ocean, while on the inland side is an ornamental pond presided over by a ‘floating’ 2.5-metre-high Buddha statue. In another direction, a line of palm tress and jungle follows the path of a river.

Dining Room
The open plan dining room adjoins the feature kitchen, and has sliding glass doors on three sides, designed to be opened for a semi alfresco dining experience or closed when it becomes too breezy. A teak dining table, complete with stool seating, can accommodate up to 18 guests.

Villa Batujimbar is located in the heart of Sanur, on the southeastern tip of Bali. This five suite beachfront estate is cocooned in the Batujimbar Estate, giving it a serene and magical atmosphere while being surrounded by world-class restaurants and local attractions. Villa Batujimbar is ambience personified with personalized private service, facilities such as tennis court, large pool, air-conditioned gym, its own museum housing an outstanding art collection and unlimited direct access to the golden sand and azure waters that form a natural border to the estate.

The Villa
Immersed in a rich history and set on spacious grounds surrounded by outstanding Balinese paintings, stone carvings and wall murals, Villa Batujimbar is a historic inspiration. The estate was the realization of a dream by Donald Friend, considered one of Australia’s most important artists. Friend resided in Sanur for much of the 1960s and 1970s. Villa Batujimbar is a testimony to Friend’s strong interest in traditional Balinese architecture and its reinterpretation.

Sri Lankan Geoffrey Bawa, an internationally recognized prolific and influential architect helped bring Friend’s vision to life. The overall concept was inspired by the nineteenth century palaces at Klungkung and Amlapura. In 1975, Bawa designed various additions to the house, including a large museum building to house Friend’s collection of Balinese artworks and artifacts as well as Friend’s own paintings. Made of Majapahit red brick and rectangular in shape, the museum is set formally in the center of the compound with a moat around it and a long pool in the front.

Following Friend’s departure from Bali, Adrian Zecha, the founder of the Aman resorts became the estate’s owner. Subsequently, Zecha’s in house designer, Ed Tuttle (designer of many award winning hotels) was called in to refurbish the estate. Tuttle’s renovation gave the estate a new organized look emphasizing clean lines and space. The next owner, international entrepreneur Graeme Robertson faithfully restored the estate to capture lifestyle opulence with the addition of a tennis court, gym and an impressive collection of art for the museum. Now for the first time Villa Batujimbar has opened its magic for special experiences, Value Link Investments presents the opportunity for corporates looking for unique Board Meeting experiences or families, special experiences.

The estate is spread over 1 hectare of landscaped gardens and ponds and made up of a number of separate buildings following the design of Balinese compounds with the kitchen in the south, the temple in the north-east, and the main house in the west. With wonderful indoor-outdoor relationships, orienting its various structures to catch views and breezes, and using traditional materials such as alang-alang thatching, bamboo, brick and paras stone, Villa Batujimbar creates its own magical ambience. Villa Batujimbar has five generously sized suites, each with an open-plan en-suite bathroom. Two of the suites (suites three and four) are next to each other, located on the east of the estate. The other two suites (suites one and two) are located across the courtyard. The fifth bedroom is situated in the backyard with its own gate and connecting door to the pond. The suites are luxurious, yet simple and uncluttered.

Gym
Villa Batujimbar’s gym has a wide range of equipment including an elliptical runner, treadmill, multi-purpose station, hamstring machine, a range of dumbells and swiss balls.

Tennis Court
Villa Batujimbar’s tennis court is situated towards the front of the estate. A tennis pavilion with fridge, sitting area, and toilet is situated beside it. One of our staff members, Made, himself a fine tennis player, is also able to be a hitting partner.

Spa
Massage, body scrubs, facials, pedicures, manicures and hair braiding are just a few of the treatments which can be enjoyed at Villa Batujimbar.

Museum
The private museum has a large collection of Balinese art and artifacts by local and western masters, many of which depict scenes from Villa Batujimbar. Paintings showcase the development of art in Bali and present artists who found inspiration in Bali. It houses a superb collection of original Donal Friend paintings from the Value Link collection.

Other Facilities
Villa Batujimbar has direct access to the Sanur Beach. There is a wide path running the entire length of the beach which makes it easy for a leisurely stroll, an energetic early morning jog, or a relaxing bicycle ride where you can stop at the many beach-side cafes for a refreshing drink or a delicious meal. A range of water activities such as snorkeling, water-skiing, jet-skiing, parasailing, wind-surfing, outrigger sailing and SCUBA diving can be found nearby in numerous water sport centers. Additionally, world class golf courses are close by and yoga instructors are available for private lessons. Our Villa Concierge will be more than happy to assist you in arranging activities.

Villa Batujimbar is located within the Batujimbar Estate, arguably Bali’s most exclusive district, in the center of Sanur. Traditionally a fishing village, Sanur is one of the few remaining Brahman kuasa villages in Bali controlled by members of the priestly caste. Among its many charms, Sanur boasts some of the most beautiful processions on the island, Bali’s only female keris dance and the island’s oldest stone inscription.

Sanur is steeped in history, with some of the earliest recorded writings in Bali emblazoned on a pillar known as the Prasanti Blanjong. The pillar dates back to AD 913 and is now kept in a temple in Blanjong village, located in the south of Sanur. The inscriptions detail the arrival of a Javanese King who came to Bali to teach Mahayana Buddhism. Quiet and relatively laid back, Sanur still has the feeling of old Bali. Ancient temples can be found interspersed along the Sanur coast. Characterized by coral walled enclosures providing shelter to platform altars, this style of temple is unique to the Sanur coast.

Sanur makes a good base for exploring the island as it is served by a main dual-carriage road that passes inland and not along the beach itself. Travel to Ubud takes 30 minutes, Seminyak, 25 minutes, the airport, 20 minutes and Bali’s capital, Denpasar, 15 minutes. An excellent center for families, nearby, but detached from the popular tourist areas of Bali. Ready access to the Jimbaran restaurant area and on the main road to Ubud, Sanur represents the entrance to the mountain kingdoms and conversely, the coastal playgrounds. Good restaurants and massage and spa facilities are readily available in the quiet romantic environment of Sanur.

Seminyak boasts a plethora of chic cocktail bars, exciting nightclubs, sumptuous spas, fashionable boutiques and famous restaurants including ‘Ku De Ta’, ‘Kafe Warisan’, ‘Living Room’, ‘Hu’u’ and ‘La Lucciola’.

Villa Asta is located 25 minutes from the international airport, and is also convenient for all of the main shopping malls, Waterbom Park, and tourist attractions such as the dramatic and venerated Tanah Lot sea temple, perched on a craggy wave-lashed rock at the edge of the foaming white surf of the Indian Ocean.

Rooms
Villa Asta was designed by the internationally-acclaimed architect, Guy Morgan, with sumptuous interiors and landscaping by Dean Kempnich. The property is entered through an ornately framed wooden doorway, behind which stands a Balinese Hindu feature known as the ‘aling aling’ – a short screen wall devised to protect the property from troublesome and malign influences, because evil spirits have great difficulty in turning corners! A waterfall cascades into the pool producing a “glass like” view across the pool to the feature bale. This also has the effect of producing gasps of surprise and delight from the guests as they step past the wall and view the property for the first time. Boasting contemporary minimalist architecture and a tropical open-living concept with Balinese influences, Villa Asta is comprised of 4 separate living, dining and sleeping pavilions. The warm teak wood floors, richly grained coconut wood pillars, creamy white Palimanan stone terraces, cool marble fixtures, slate floors, and random rock walls form the dominant components, juxtaposed against koi (fish) ponds, water spouts and the natural greenery of Bali’s exotic plants.

The open-sided dining pavilion is furnished with a long table which seats up to 18, boasting padded chairs and an orange theme. Cooled by natural breezes it also features a teak wood floor, paddle fans and pendulous lanterns suspended from its pitched roof. Ideal for entertaining, this ample pavilion is linked to a quality music system with surround speakers in the roof.

Adjacent to the dining pavilion is a fully equipped, open-air service kitchen, characterised by a slate floor, teak cupboards, and black marble work surfaces. Here, the chef will prepare delicious breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and refreshments, in accordance with guest requirements. The marble bar, complete with bar stools, is a great place for enjoying a casual breakfast or socialising with friends.

Sliding opaque glass doors lead from the dining area into an air-conditioned den. This cosy snug is furnished with deeply cushioned lounges and a big lazy chair. It also doubles as an office, and is equipped with a built-in desk and fitted cupboards, a computer with Internet access, a printer, a 32-inch plasma TV with over 25 satellite channels, DVD and a high quality sound system linked to speakers in the living and dining areas. The walls are graced with colourful local artwork and artifacts.

The living pavilion is open on 4 sides and features a soaring ‘alang alang’ thatched roof supported by coconut wood pillars above a cream Palimanan stone floor. Ceiling fans and gentle breezes keep this area cool; it is tastefully furnished with a cushioned rattan sofa, chairs, and a glass topped rattan table. This pavilion is also linked to the central music system with surround speakers in the roof.

More surprises are in store for guests as they make their way across the water garden, where large stepping stones lead over a pond to a timber walkway that forms a bridge over a secluded, large plunge pool separated from the dining and living areas by a low wall. This is the sleeping pavilion, a single-storey building housing 2 air-conditioned double bedrooms, complete with en-suite bathrooms, and a pool terrace. Each bedroom boasts a marble floor and a soaring thatched roof, and each is furnished with a canopied 4-poster king-size bed, a comfortable built-in window seat, an ottoman at the end of the bed, and a 29-inch plasma TV. Each is tastefully decorated with bold colours, rich fabrics and bright scatter cushions, local artwork and artefacts. Each also features a dressing room, complete with a vanity mirror, a safe deposit box, and built-in shelves and hanging space. Sliding glass doors lead into the private garden bathrooms, each one dominated by a splendid, oversized, marble bathtub as its central feature, and sheltered from the elements by the eaves of the roof. There is also a rainshower in each bathroom, together with a discreetly positioned toilet, and a white porcelain washbasin atop a marble vanity unit. These garden bathrooms are surrounded by walls for absolute privacy, and are both neatly planted with palms, ferns and irises. The plunge pool can be accessed by exterior bathrooms doors, thus avoiding the need to walk through the bedrooms.

Three further bedrooms and the games room are located at the far end of the garden, away from the main living areas. This 2-storey pavilion houses 3 twin bedrooms downstairs. Each of these air-conditioned bedrooms can accommodate one couple or 2 children on twin beds, plus 2 more children on rollaway beds. Each bedroom is accessed by sliding glass doors from a colonnaded terrace, and each boasts a walk-in wardrobe, an en-suite garden bathroom with toilet, shower, washbowl atop a vanity unit, and a traditional ‘mandi’ – an outdoor urn fed by a waterspout.

The semi open-air games room is a huge wooden deck with a thatched roof. It is cooled by ceiling fans, accessed by an external staircase, and presents beautiful rice field views. The play area is complemented by a kitchenette complete with a fridge and cooking facilities, and a shower room with washbasin and toilet. Equipment includes a music system, a computer (with internet access), DVD, pool table, a ping pong table, and a 42-inch wall-mounted plasma TV housed behind sliding doors within a built-in wooden cabinet. The room is furnished with an abundance of chairs and a large daybed.

 Facilities

The immaculate garden is dominated by a dramatic freeform swimming pool, lined with a patterned mosaic of cobalt blue and sage green tiles. Shallow layers within the pool stair-step down into the deepest 4-metre section that has the pool at a refreshing temperature even in the hottest weather. Adjacent to the pool sits and elegant 3-metre-high, 2-storey ‘bale’ relaxation pavilion. Shaded by a thatched roof, this elevated, double-decker pavilion offers spectacular rice field and mountain views. This is the perfect place for champagne and cocktails at sunset.

Stunningly landscaped around the pool, the soft green lawn is traversed by slate ‘crazy-paving’ pathways, and dotted with sweet scented frangipani, velvety red flowering ‘dadap merah’ trees, pots of bougainvillea, and a bed of gladioli. Soothing ripples originate from a water court, tiny islands support shrubs and lanterns, smooth Palimanan stone is fashioned into a square sun terrace and is furnished with a large canopied chair. A circular timber deck rests beside the pool, complete with sunloungers and umbrellas. Every need has been considered with the provision of an outdoor pool shower, a garden shower and washroom and a hidden wash room accessed by a gorgeous, red and gold, hand-carved Balinese door.

At the far end of the garden is a walled, grass court, suitable for playing badminton, volley ball, football and other games. There is a private parking area at the front of the property outside the main entrance doors.

Guests at Villa Asta will be eligible for complimentary membership of The Canggu Club for the duration of their stay. Located just around the corner, a five minute drive or a mere 20 minutes walk from the villa, this is Bali’s first and only international private members’ club; offering sports, social and leisure facilities, including a fully equipped, state-of-the art gym, an indoor/outdoor tennis and squash centre, a full size football and rugby pitch, a 25-metre swimming pool and a separate children’s swimming pool area.

For horse lovers, the Umalas Equestrian Centre is just a few kilometres away, and Nirwana Golf Course, designed by Greg Norman and renowned as one of the best golf courses in Asia, is a 30-minute drive.

Services
