The Villa
Villa Matahari is a sumptuous, two storeys, four bedroom villas, characterized by open air tropical living rooms and an abundance of light, glass and space. This contemporary property embraces symmetry and exudes style, fusing some of the traditional Balinese architectural elements: like the pavilions, and the four sloped roofs with the modern concept of space and featuring crisp white walls, white terrazzo floors, iron wood shingle roofs and decks, and high quality furnishings. This luxurious property is ideal for weddings and events. It was completed in 2009 and has an interconnecting garden door to its sister villa Mahatma House, which presents a contrasting décor and theme next door. Both villas can therefore be rented together, presenting accommodation for up to 18 people.

Accommodation
There are four air-conditioned bedrooms with expansive en-suite bathrooms. The two Master Suites are located upstairs with beds oriented towards the beach, and there are two independent Garden Suites on a single storey pavilion. Every suite has audio visual facilities with LCD screens, satellite connection, internal telephone system, safety boxes, as well as an outside private chill out area. The open air living & dining area takes up the whole of the ground floor, incorporating a lounge with a 50” TV, DVD player and 5:1 Cinema Sound System. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, a laundry room, a storage room, staff room, 2 auxiliary patios, a Security Gazebo and an office for internal management. Facilities include: 24 hour free Wireless Internet access and an 18 m x 6.40 m. swimming pool.

Master Suites
The Master Suites are stylish, minimalist and extremely spacious, each is flanked by a private, open air, roof terrace for relaxing. The Master suites bedrooms feature large windows on three sides overlooking the garden. The king size bed in each room is oriented towards the sea, and there is a built in desk behind the bed. The expansive en-suite bathrooms are each fitted with a luxurious bathtub beside a wide window. There is a toilet on one side and a walk in rain-shower on the other side. A wide terrazzo vanity unit supports twin washbasins, and huge wall mirrors multiply the space. Fitted wardrobes provide plenty of hanging and storage space. Despite the abundance of windows, guests’ privacy is cleverly protected by one-way mirror glasses.

Garden Suites
The Garden Suites are each furnished with a king size bed, built in desk and fitted wardrobe. Sliding doors open to the en-suite bathrooms, each of which is fitted with double washbasins, a bathtub, a toilet and walk-in rain shower behind separate doors, as well as a long wall mirror, and built in shelves. Glass doors in the garden suites open onto timber decks in private back gardens, while another set of glass doors opens in each onto a sitting area overlooking the pool. Each of the Garden Suites have an iron wood deck terrace with a private open air but covered chill out area, designed for relaxing and for enjoying private meals. This Iron wood deck guides to the swimming pool deck, to the main chill out, and to the other Garden Suite located at the other side of the swimming pool, giving it a sense of unity and reminding the deck of a port.

Entrance, Living & Dinning Room
The main access to the house, leads to the entrance hall through two huge ironwood sliding doors, that when opened, allows to see a handmade stone waterfall with the symbol of the house, an antique wooden carved retro-illuminated Matahari, which in Bahasa Indonesia means “sun” coming from Mata = eye and Hari = day, “the eye of the day”. The Hall is flanked by two ponds with two enormous `made in situ´ white stone Buda heads, acting as waterfalls. The living and dining room area is open on three sides and covers most of the ground floor of the main building. The open plan design incorporates a TV lounge, accessed by wide stepping stones over an ornamental pond and furnished with a daybed. Complete with a 50’’ LCD TV, DVD player and a top quality 5:1 Home Cinema sound system. The living area itself is the central focus. Aligned with the swimming pool and overlooking the garden, it is cooled by three ceiling fans. Presiding the space, there is a sitting Buda which is lightened during the night and reflects in the water of the swimming pool, giving and extraordinary sense of tranquility. The dining area is accessed by another set of stepping stones over an opposite pond with golden fish inside, and is furnished with a table for ten. There is also a guest toilet on the ground floor.

The Kitchen
The fully equipped modern kitchen is self contained and located close to the dining area for ease of service. It contains all of the facilities that the chef requires for the preparation of delicious meals, innovative buffets, and party snacks. Spa Services & Office
Villa Matahari offers internal spa services, including: facials, body treatment, various types of massage, pedicure, manicure, etc. provided by professional therapists on request at an extra charge. The office is located on the ground floor of Villa Matahari with direct access to the entrance of the house to avoid bothering the privacy of the guests and giving service to the villa and/or guests needs.

Garden & Pool
The 18 m. x 6.40 m. swimming pool is a stunning feature, which completes the symmetry of the property. The swimming has a 4 side overflow that simulates a flat mirror over the black volcanic stone of the external walls and light green stones on the inside. The interior green stones aided with the light of 10 powerful pool lamps invite to swim during the night when the magical atmosphere of Villa Matahari is revealed. The pool deck flanked by a pair of atmospheric, gas-fired fire bowls, which are lit at sunset, the meticulously designed illumination of the villa, the reflection of the Buda in the water, and the moon light through the coconut trees will give you so many nights to remember that you would like to come back every year. The large garden with its flat lawn is ideal for weddings, and celebrations. A central, open air lounge presents an additional chill out area; it is sheltered by a roof and presides over the pool.

Surroundings
The location offers direct access to the beach and easy access up to the mountains and rice terraces on the western slopes of the island; it is 40 minutes drive from the famous cultural and artistic town of Ubud, just 20 minutes drive from Seminyak and the Sunset Road, gateway to the eastern side of the island. It is only 5 minutes away from Tanah Lot, one of the main temples of Bali. It is also convenient for all of Bali’s shopping malls and main tourist attractions. The international airport is 50 minutes’ drive, depending on the traffic. The nearby ‘Nirwana Bali Golf Course’ designed by Greg Norman, and voted the number 1 golf course in Asia it is situated beside the dramatic waved-lashed sea temple of Tanah Lot. For horse lovers, the ‘Umalas Equestrian Centre’ is just a few kilometers away. Echo Beach at Canggu, which is bordered by a surfing reef and noted for a casual and lively beach-side dining scene, is a pleasant one-kilometer walk along the seashore. This is the place where the local community gathers in the evenings to watch the legendary sunsets. A variety of eating areas and tables spill out onto a beachside buff; there is a daily barbeque and live music on Sunday evenings.

In a private compound of 1200 m2, Villa Hermosa is a tropical villa comprising a two storey-main building and a guest house mixing Balinese style and modern comfort. Wood and white color are the dominant of the building, the blue of the pool and the greenery of the tropical garden are matching outside to give to this spacious villa, charm and relaxation for great holidays.

The private compound of the villa is accessed via a wooden gate to the colorful tropical garden with the staff access on the side and parking area. The two storey-main building is overlooking the large rectangular shape-pool and the garden. On the elevated ground floor, the living area is spacious set along the dinning with the kitchen and a guest lavatory. Two bedrooms are set behind this area each with en-suite bathrooms and terrace. The stair case between these two bedrooms provides an access to the upper floor which is containing a large master bedroom with en suite bathroom, dressing and the kids’ room.

Around the pool a deck is featuring pool chairs to relax on. The guest bedroom with en suite bathroom is conveniently set on the left corner of the pool and a large gazebo featuring a large day bed is situated on the other side.

At your full service, the manager is supervising staffs including one cook, three house keepers, one gardener, one maintenance and one security guard operating in the villa. Accommodation
Recently completed in 2010, the King Villa is the most spacious of the two, yet the Queen villa is equally luxurious and tranquil. The villas, set at an elevation of nearly 1000 meters, offer the best views in Bali. This includes 200-degree views of Bali’s volcanoes, distant beaches and cool evening sunsets.

King Villa
The largest of both 6 bedrooms with en-suite bathroom is the King Villa (sleep 12 to 14 persons). The King Villa has approximately 6,000 sq. ft. of open interior living space and a spacious outdoor lounge and entertaining area around the large 40 ft. moon shaped pool. This villa is the perfect vacation rental for large families and groups. The King Villa with its large outdoor and indoor entertaining areas makes this villa very popular for weddings and catered parties up to 150 people.

Queen Villa
The Queen Villa is modestly smaller than The King Villa at approximately 4,500 sq. ft. interior and is beautiful in its own right containing 6 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (sleep 12 to 14 persons) with a private 35 ft. Pool and Buddha waterfall with a huge outdoor gazebo lounge area fit for a Queen. The surrounding pool deck is suitable for intimate outdoor gatherings up to 40 persons and the interior ground floor can also accommodate catered parties up to 40 persons.

The Villas
The villas are decorated with a mix of antique and modern Indonesian furniture with contemporary accents and furnishing designed exclusively for Royalty Villas. There are many indoor and outdoor lounge areas in addition to the Media Room which has a large LCD TV home theater system and will accommodate your MP3 or IPOD music. The same home theater system is also located in the major suites on the upper levels of both villas.

The Villas
Villa Dewi Sri presents four air-conditioned bedrooms, complete with en-suite bathrooms, a sizeable living and dining room open to the garden, an air-conditioned family room, and a fully-equipped kitchen.

This two-storey holiday villa in Bali showcases contemporary Balinese architecture complemented by a large garden with a flat lawn and 17 x 5 meter swimming pool. The villa is linked to the neighboring property by an interconnecting, lockable, garden door. The two properties can therefore accommodate a large group with a total of nine bedrooms. Guests enter the villa via stepping stones over a lily pond and through a long entrance hallway, which exudes space and light due to the clear pergola roof.

ACCOMMODATION

The Bedrooms
There are four air-conditioned bedrooms at Villa Dewi Sri. The Zen Bedroom is located downstairs presenting a beige and red theme. It is furnished with a king size bed, an upholstered sofa, a thick pile rug, an ottoman, a lazy chair and a desk, as well as reading lamps and standard lamps and bedside tables. This spacious room features a padded wall behind the bed head, a recycled teakwood floor, and a ceiling fan as well as the air-conditioning. It is accessed either from the main garden or from the pool area by sliding glass doors. There is a dressing area behind the bed with built in wardrobes, lots of storage space, and a huge mirror. A sliding door leads into a glass-walled air-conditioned bathroom, which opens into a private, Zen inspired garden. Here, a large bathtub rests besides sliding glass doors. The bathroom is also fitted with twin washbasins upon a black marble vanity, a toilet and a glass sided, walk-in shower. The picture is completed with Romanesque pillars and a huge wall mirror.

The Tropical Bedroom is similar to the Zen Bedroom with just one set of sliding doors, which lead to the main garden and pool area. There is a padded window seat, which doubles as spare bed for a child, and hanging lanterns beside the bed. A door leads into an air-conditioned dressing room, from which a set of old traditional Balinese double doors open into an open-air garden bathroom, complete with non slip floor, and a bathtub protected from elements by an overhanging roof. There is a washbasin at both ends, and a toilet behind a glass door. The tropical garden is planted with shrubs, parlor palms and yellow bamboo. There is a terrace in front of both of these two bedrooms overlooking the garden and furnished with all-weather rattan chairs and a table.

The two upstairs bedrooms are accessed from a large, cool and breezy balcony terrace, with great views. The balcony is furnished with an antique game table and stools. Both of the upstairs bedrooms are furnished with twin beds that can be converted to queen size beds. Each features a polished concrete floor, sliding glass doors, a window seat, tables and reading lamps. The adjoining dressing rooms are open to the en-suite bathrooms, and from here glass doors open onto private, roof top terraces bordered by frangipani trees and palms, and furnished with sun loungers. Each upstairs bathroom has a cream terrazzo floor, a rain shower, a toilet and a single washbasin.

Living and Dining
Running the length of the garden beside the swimming pool, the living & dining pavilion is open to the pool deck on two sides and partially open to a water cascade on one side. Fan cooled, it features a polished concrete floor, and is hugely spacious, with an open plan modern kitchen at one end, complete with a service bar with three stools. The dining area is positioned adjacent to the kitchen with a solid teakwood table that seats 12 guests with a bench seat on both sides, and comfortable upholstered chairs at either end. The living area is furnished with three deeply cushioned sofas and an ottoman, and six segmented coffee table blocks fashioned from solid polished suar wood. This is a great space for parties. The walls are adorned with artwork and complemented by sculptures, as well as a big screen for playing Wii, and a music system with 4 speakers. The roof of the pavilion is planted with long grass, which blends with the environment and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The fully equipped kitchen is open on two sides and follows a cream and chocolate theme, with an oven and four hobs, a two-door fridge, and brown marble work surfaces. A guest wash room is positioned just off the living pavilion.

Family Room
The cozy, air-conditioned, family room is located upstairs and is fitted with a big screen; surround sound, home theatre, incorporating a DVD player, and a 49″ satellite channel TV. The room is furnished with a huge L-shaped segmented sofa with colorful padded covers. This room also doubles as a sleep area for kids, and is well equipped with games, books and movies.

Facilities include a parking area, WIFI internet connection, a computer in the manager’s office and a safe deposit box in each room.

Garden and Pool
At the far end of the living pavilion is a pergola shaded deck with sun loungers and a sofa and daybed, complete with a living coconut palm growing through the roof of the pergola. This is a great spot for a massage. The eye is drawn to the length of the pavilion, the pool and the garden to the rice field and the irrigation canal bordered by a line of palms against the backdrop of a lovely rural view. The swimming pool is 17 x 5 meters in length and ranges from 1.10 to 1.40 meters in depth. It is lined with mixed green java stone, and there are Jacuzzi jets at one end of the bench where it gets wider, which are good for a back massage. There is also an outdoor pool shower, a long flat lawn of velvety grass, three frangipani trees, and another pool deck at the top end, furnished with loungers and an umbrella.

Food and Beverage
Villa Dewi Sri’s top class chef can prepare anything from snacks up to five-course dinners, or other requests as required. A full international menu is available. Breakfast is complimentary, while the full lunch and dinner service is a dining delight where guests can enjoy all manner of cuisine in a relaxing environment.

Staff
Villa Dewi Sri is supported by a carefully selected team of highly trained, friendly staff who will do their best to ensure that their guests experience a truly enjoyable stay in Bali. The team is headed by a villa manager who will oversee and coordinate the staff and property, and is available to assist guests during their stay. The team also includes an in-house chef, butlers, housekeepers, gardeners, pool attendants and security guards operating on a 24-hour shift basis. The chef is trained in the preparation of both local and international cuisine, and is responsible for all the market shopping, in accordance with the needs and the whims of the guests. The housekeepers fulfill all of the housekeeping duties while also taking care of the daily laundry. Baby-sitting and spa services and the facilities of a car and driver are also available at an additional charge.

The Villas
Villa Sarasvati comprises two distinct areas that can be rented independently if required, featuring separate entrances as well as a shared entrance, both heralded by carved stone murals introducing Sarasvati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge, wisdom and the arts, after which the villa takes its name.

On one side is the main villa, comprising a stand-alone multipurpose studio room, a long entrance hall, four bedrooms, a living & dining pavilion with a feature kitchen, an air-conditioned TV lounge, a pergola garden room, flat lawn and 18×5-meter lap pool.

The contemporary tropical architecture utilizes local materials including Palimanan stone walls, marble, and recycled wood, capped with ironwood shingle for the roof. The eclectic interiors ooze with style, visual texture and rich fabrics, following a stylish coffee and cream theme with modern teakwood and rattan furnishings, eye-catching framed photographs taken by the owner, and a unique collection of Taiwanese antiques and artifacts.

The second area, incorporating a one-bedroom suite known as the ‘master suite’, is located alongside the main villa but is hidden from view. It is a complete contrast to the modern architecture, featuring a series of antique wooden buildings from Java set within an exceptional rambling garden.

ACCOMMODATION

The Bedrooms
The master suite is an antique, wooden Javanese house, private and separate from the main villa and set within a romantic water garden. This gorgeous old house is a traditional high-peaked teakwood building, representing a bygone era. It was disassembled and transported from a small town in central Java, famous for its intricately carved woodwork.

The house is entered via a set of wooden steps, and the raised verandah at the front is a great place to sit and relax, overlooking the beautiful garden. At night this porch is romantically lit by glass globe lanterns. Inside is an air-conditioned bedroom, with the alternative facility of a ceiling fan. The room is stunningly furnished with a king-size bed and an antique wardrobe, complemented by comfortable soft furnishings, and equipped with a satellite channel TV and DVD player. The rustic en-suite bathroom is semi open air, sheltered by a pergola roof and extending out into a private, walled garden. It is equipped with a hollowed out, river rock bathtub for two, a walk-in rain shower, toilet, twin washbasins and a non slip floor. There is also a rain shower, open to the sky, in the garden.

The other four air-conditioned bedrooms, complete with their en-suite bathrooms, are arranged on two levels in the main two-storey building, which presides over the lap pool and one half of the extensive gardens. The bedrooms on ground level open onto an elevated terrace with three wide steps that lead down to the pool deck. There is also a ramp, which makes it easy for wheelchair users. Both the ground floor bedrooms have recycled wood floors, while the upstairs bedrooms have cool polished concrete floors. The upstairs bedrooms, as well as the central communal TV room, open onto a broad balcony with fabulous views over the meandering gardens, pool and rice fields.

The master bedroom is on ground level of the main building, entered via an anteroom with shelves and alcoves filled with books, a Buddha statue and antique artifacts from Taiwan. Long curtains divide the sleeping area from the anteroom and the huge dressing room, which is fitted with abundant hanging and storage space as well as a make-up table with a large wall mirror. The en-suite indoor/outdoor master bathroom is accessed by sliding glass doors from both the bedroom and the dressing room. The indoor area is fitted with polished black granite twin vanities with washbasins, as well as a toilet and a rain shower in separate cubicles – both with two sets of glass doors providing access to the indoor and outdoor areas. The piece de resistance is the freestanding terrazzo bathtub for two, positioned within a glass walled area all to itself, with doors that can be slid open to the private garden for a semi-alfresco bathing experience. There is also a rain shower in the spacious shrub-filled garden, open to the sky and very private.

Each bedroom, including the master, has a built in cushioned daybed along one wall, a four poster, king size bed hung with diaphanous cream chiffon drapes, teak furnishings, a shag pile floor rug, a TV/DVD player, and a dressing area.

Each en-suite bathroom is fitted with twin washbasins, toilet, walk-in rain shower and bathtub. The downstairs guestroom has a semi open air bathroom bordered by an ornamental pond with ornate Ganesha statues spouting running water. The two upstairs bathrooms are characterized by open air rooftop terraces, each with a romantic outdoor bathtub resting under a pergola.

Living and Dining
The single-storey living & dining pavilion features creamy white Palimanan stone walls and a polished concrete floor under a soaring roof. This long room runs the length of the pool with sliding glass doors that open onto the pool deck on one side and a lily pond with stone carvings and water features on the other. When these doors are open, the room is cooled by natural cross ventilation and ceiling fans, or alternatively the doors can be closed for air-conditioned comfort. At one end of the pavilion is an open-plan feature kitchen linked to the dining area by a wide, marble service bar. The splendid dining table seats 14, with bench stools and a grand cane planter chair at either end. Five giant, clear glass bell-jar lanterns hang over the table and the room is lovingly adorned with a collection of antique wooden artifacts including a pair of ornate panels from a Torajan house. There is also a tactile wooden sculpture that pivots on its stand to form a screen between the dining and living spaces. The living area is furnished with two cane sofas and armchairs with deep, comfortable cushions, together with a glass topped coffee table, a shag pile floor rug, lamps and more wooden artifacts. The ambience is enhanced by the sound of running water from the spouting statues that feed the lily pond outside.

At the far end of the living & dining pavilion, overlooking the rice field, is an open air sitting room with a slatted pergola roof supported by wooden pillars. The floor is composed of recycled ironwood decking, which extends around two sides of the pool, while flowering thunbergia cascades from the clear roof – designed to let in the light. This enchanting, sunny room flows into the living pavilion, yet can be a separate area when the sliding glass doors are closed. It is furnished with a large sofa and coffee table, as well as a smaller glass topped table with three planter chairs.

TV Lounge
The cozy TV lounge is positioned on the upper floor between the two upstairs bedrooms. Two long upholstered sofas hug the Palimanan stone walls, along with a two-toned suar wood coffee table and a rug under a pitched roof. The room is equipped with both air-conditioning and ceiling fans, and a large flat screen satellite channel TV and DVD player with surround sound.

Kitchen
Villa Sarasvati’s immaculate, designer kitchen is crafted in creamy marble, with pots and pans hanging from the ceiling above a central island. This feature kitchen is conveniently positioned next to the dining area, and is fully equipped with an imported oven and hob, a large two-door refrigerator, a temperature controlled wine cellar, and everything else that the chef needs in order to prepare delicious meals, in accordance with the whims of his guests.

Studio
The multipurpose studio is an expansive, self contained, single-storey building located just inside the entrance to the villa. This room can be used for a number of purposes and, due to its size, is ideally suited for functions and parties.

Spa
Conceived in perfect harmony with the peaceful surroundings, spa treatments at Sarasvati take place in the privacy of the antique timber spa building, which presents two massage beds, washroom and outdoor rain shower. Combining beauty and well-being, traditional treatments such as mandi lulur, Balinese massage or reflexology, administered by skilled therapists, will make guests feel reborn, awakening the mind, body and soul.

Gardens and Pools
The main swimming pool is an 18×5 meters lap pool bordered by a timber deck that extends around two sides, complete with sun loungers and umbrellas. A flat lawn runs between the pool and the garden wall, bordered with palms and giant taro leaves and a pair of Ganesha statues. This is also the location of a pool shower. A door in the wall links the property to Villa Dewi Sri for those occasions when both villas are rented jointly by one group of guests.

The second alluring swimming pool is freeform and located beside the spa within the gorgeous rambling gardens. Staff
Villa Sarasvati is supported by a carefully selected team of highly trained, friendly staff who will do their best to ensure that their guests experience a truly enjoyable stay in Bali. The team is headed by a villa manager who will oversee and coordinate the staff and property, and is available to assist guests during their stay. The team also includes an in-house chef, butlers, housekeepers, gardeners, pool attendants and security guards operating on a 24-hour shift basis. The chef is trained in the preparation of both local and international cuisine, and is responsible for all the market shopping, in accordance with the needs and the whims of the guests. The housekeepers fulfill all of the cleaning and housekeeping duties while also taking care of the daily laundry. Spa services are available in the dedicated antique spa pavilion.

The nearby Berawa Beach is known for its world-class surf breaks, offering an exposed reef break with consistent surf. May to October (dry season) is the favored time for waves. Location
“Villa Dewata 1″ is set in a quiet compound less than 100 meters from the main road in the center of Basangkasa, the area between Legian/ Seminyak and The Oberoi. Many interesting shops are right on the main road near the villa; it’s about 1km to the beach, and a few minutes by car bring you to an increasing number of trendy restaurants such as Ultimo, Metis, Ku de Ta, Hu’u, The Living Room, La Lucciola, Trattoria, Mykonos, Kuni’s, etc. The international airport is about 30 minutes away, and it’s about the same distance to the popular “Bali Nirvana Golf Course” and the famous Tanah Lot temple.

The Villa
This beautiful villa has an elegant simplistic design with a roof covered with wooden shingles. There are four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a large air-conditioned TV lounge and a spacious dining and living area perfect for entertaining guests. The adjacent open pantry is equipped with a toaster, gas cooker and refrigerator, and another stove and refrigerator as well as electric appliances such as a micro wave oven, steamer, blender, etc. can be found in the adjacent kitchen.

Large folding glass doors in the living/dining room open up on two sides to the garden with many tropical plants and the swimming pool, and ceiling fans provide additional ventilation if required. Furnishings include a dining table for 8 guests and comfortable sofas. Next to the swimming pool two spacious “Bales” (gazebos), one with comfortable sofas, and the other with large day beds.

Bedrooms
All four bedrooms are air-conditioned, and the two front bedrooms have windows and glass doors opening up to the garden and swimming pool. All bedrooms have king-size beds and an additional day bed. The en-suite bathrooms of the two bedrooms facing the swimming pool have sinks and soaking bath tubs large enough for two, the other two en-suite bathrooms have only a sink and showers.

Amenities
The 42 inch/110 cm SONY TV with surround-sound system in the air-conditioned TV lounge next to the dining area is connected to a DVD player and a cable TV system to receive over 55 international news programs, sports and movie channels, and there is a stereo system with tape deck and CD player in the dining/living room as well as a direct IDD telephone line and a fax machine. A personal electronic safe is installed in all bedrooms.

Villa Services
The full-time house staff speaks good English and includes a trained cook to prepare a range of delicious Indonesian and Western meals, house boys, gardeners, night watchmen and a villa manager. Built on 2,000 m2 of land, Villa Jago is quite spacious. Far from the bustle of daily Balinese life, Villa Kanti is situated on the edge of a small, quiet Balinese village. It is located near Mas Village; which is known as the wood carving village, as well as Sukawati the art market and Celuk Village, where you can find smithied items of gold and silver. Villa Kanti has been built in perfect harmony with traditional Balinese culture. Designed by Gede Agus, a young Balinese architect, Villa Kanti is a perfect blend of the contemporary concept of indoor/outdoor living combined with every possible amenity amid a stunning landscape designed by famous local landscaper, Ketut Hendrawan. All this blends seamlessly into the surrounding environment of rice fields and coconut palms.

Pavilions
Villa Kanti in Ubud, Bali consists of five spacious bedroom suites located in three pavilions which sleep a total of ten guests in perfect comfort.

The main pavilion is the Living and Dining Pavilion, connected to the kitchen on the side of the property by a soaring “alang alang” (thatched) roof and carefully landscaped terrazzo and walkways from special stepping stones (pebble washed) to the three suite pavilions – the Master Pavilion, the Temple Pavilion and the Ricefield Pavilion.

Each pavilion offers panoramic views to the verdant rice fields, waterfall and river.

A fully equipped kitchen staffed with Balinese chefs able to prepare both local and international cuisine will ensure that your dietary requirements are met and exceeded.

The Master Pavilion
This is a two-storey pavilion located at the top-end of the property and contains a bedroom suite on each floor, identical in size.

The spacious ground floor bedroom has a creamy terrazzo floor and is decorated with Antique Chinese pottery from Sumatra Island and artifacts from Bali. The king-sized bed is canopied with a white mosquito net; a long writing table and a comfortable [reclining] sofa face a private garden; and heavy purple curtains with blackout lining provide complete darkness. The remote controlled air-conditioning can be individually adjusted to suit your own requirements. The outdoor ensuite bathroom, with a soaking bathtub built from green stone, huge rain-head shower and tropical plant-filled garden allows you complete privacy in the open area. An antique Balinese door provides access from the bathroom to the private garden.

The upper floor bedroom was specially designed to enjoy the surrounding natural environment in its entirety. Sliding louvered glass window cover three of the bedroom’s walls, allowing a clean refreshing breeze to circulate through the room as well as providing breathtaking panoramic views of the garden, the terraces and the rice paddies, all of which can be enjoyed even from the bed itself.

The furniture is in old teak wood with beautiful traditional carved panels from Madura Island used as a spacious wardrobe; the queen-size bed is surrounded by a white organza mosquito net the white bed linens and curtains add to the romantic and colonial flavour of the room. By design, this suite has a ceiling fan instead of air-conditioning, thereby allowing our guests to enjoy the pristine yet aromatic air. The bathroom has a ‘built-in’ soaking terrazzo bath tub, huge rain-head shower with pebbled flooring and overlooks the terraced rice field.

The Temple Pavilion
Comprised of two different bedroom types (queen bed at ground floor and twin bed upper floor) is very ideal for a family of four. The ground floor bedroom is decorated with artifact from Toraja (in Sulawesi Island) and is individually controlled air-conditioned, tranquil and peaceful view to the Villa temple, rice field on the other side and shooting feeling from the sound of the small river. With a spacious ensuite bathroom, soaking bath tub in dark terrazzo white ‘palimanan’ stone topping, huge rain-head shower and private garden with orchids plants.

The upper bedroom with twin bed has a spacious terrace where a beautiful nature would attract your eyes. The bedroom is decorated with Oriental artifacts and material. The window above the head bed where wooden shelves for some artifacts are placed is covered with a clear glass where you can see the rice field behind the villa with lots of coconut trees at both side. The ensuite bathroom also has a magnificent ricefield view with wooden shutters to ensure the guest privacy.

The Ricefield Pavilion
A one bedroom pavilion built with tropical wood, Merbau and decorated with precious artifacts from the islands of Indonesia and in shades of white color for the room linen. The king-sized bed canopied with a white mosquito net is facing a day bed nestled in a bow-window overlooking the private garden and rice field.

In the open bathroom a stunning wall depicting the procession of a temple ceremony has been carved in front of a black terrazzo vanity counter and soaking bath tub also in dark terrazzo with white ‘palimanan’ stone topping. To complete your tropical experience, a huge rain-head shower is located under the shade of the trees. Tropical plants that surround this pavilion give a total privacy.

Living and Dining Pavilion
This pavilion includes dining area, living area which has open view to the terraced rice fields and also open to the swimming pool, fish pond with water cascades above the pond and to the kitchen where it is fully equipped for your dining experience offering both European and Balinese cuisine.

Above the living area is the library with PC and a printer for your convenience with an internet connection.

Media and entertainment room is located few steps down from the living area where a fascinating big screen satellite TV of 67 inch and home theatre with lots of DVD collection of movie and music. A bathroom with ‘Zen garden’ design is located just next to the TV room and also designed for the pool and public bathroom.

Villa KANTI provides a well-balanced blend of air-conditioned comfort and tropical open-air living. With seven pavilions established on 3200 sq meters of land, it comfortably accommodates up to ten guests who would still be able to lose sight of each other within the boundaries of privacy that the pavilions offer. The focal point of the property is the open-air living and dining pavilion, which drops down onto the 20 by 4 meter lap swimming pool filled with salt treated water overlooking the rice paddies.

Complementing the infinity pool is a smaller pavilion with ‘Hammam’ (steam room) in green stone and large hot Jacuzzi in black ‘andesit’ stone. At the lowest reaches of this abode, overlooking more rice fields, a meditation Bale located over a quietly gurgling stream that marks the edge of the property will wait for you for a few moments of seclusion, meditation, relaxation with massage session or spa treatment.

On the mezzanine level above the open-air living and dining pavilion, a desk provides a PC with internet connection and a printer for your convenience.

For communication room to room, telephone is provided in every bedroom. Local and international call also can be made from the villa.

Villa Puri Uma Dewi is constructed in a complete rectangular encircling a large tropical garden and private swimming pool, on all sides. A long covered walkway with wooden floors and handrails connect the separate pavilions and structures of the main building and guest compound. Gates open to the inner garden and pool areas, which are an excellent deterrent for families with small children. The main structure has a main fully equipped kitchen and spacious living area with an upper level built-in sofa with cushions for group entertaining, which is located next to another living area with sofas. In the rear area of the main structure 3 air-conditioned bedrooms are located with large en-suite bathrooms. The guest compound has a separate kitchen and 2 air-conditioned bedrooms with bathrooms.

Both the main structure and guest compound have a TV/Study room adjacent to the master bedrooms, which can be used as optional bedrooms or rooms for small children. Villa Puri Uma Dewi is ideal for families and small groups. The buildings are spread out throughout the property, thus assuring privacy. The interior design is tasteful and stylish. All the bedrooms can be enclosed or open areas. The living area faces the garden with a large swimming pool, outdoor dining pavilion and pool lounging pavilion.

Main structure and guest compound: 7 Bedrooms plus an optional air-conditioned sleeping room with ensuite bathrooms. 1 bedroom is a traditional rice barn converted into a bedroom with air-conditioning and a ladder-entrance with bathroom downstairs. The master bedroom overlooking the garden and pool, has a 4 poster king size bed, large ensuite indoor/outdoor bathroom, walk in dressing room and adjacent children’s room with two single beds. Villa Jamalu has 2 Master suites, one on the upper level and one on the lower level which makes it ideal for 2 couples/families sharing. Both Master suites come with Four Poster Beds, large marble bathrooms with separate bath and rain showers. The Upstairs Master adjoins a secluded garden. It also has a flat screen TV/DVD player and iPod Dock.

The Ground Level Master opens out onto the swimming pool and also has double doors to small garden area. There are 2 further junior suites also with large marble bathrooms with rain showers. Both rooms access private garden areas. One bedroom comes with additional 2 single trundle beds so that it is possible to sleep with two children in that room in comfort. It has a flat screen TV and DVD player and iPod dock.

All 3 downstairs bedrooms open out onto the pool area and all bedrooms are individually interior designed. The Study has a single mattress daybed which can either be used as a sofa or proper single bed should additional sleeping space be required.

Dining
Villa Jamalu comes with its own delightful private chef. A inhouse dining menu is provided and our chef will be happy to accommodate any requests if possible. Please see our menu to tempt your tastebuds!

Daily breakfast is included in our rates and all other menu expenses are at the cost of ingredients only. There is also an Espresso Coffee Machine with a selection of coffee. Bali also has many top class restaurants to experience and enjoy and we are always happy to offer recommendations.

The Villa is just minutes away from the local seafood restaurants on Jimbaran Beach for those wishing to embrace the local culture and freshly caught seafood. The Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton and Karma resorts with their world class restaurants are only a 5 mins drive away. Within a 15 min drive there is the St Regis, Conrad and Karma Kandara resorts whilst Seminyak is 25 minutes away where there are many fabulous dining options and chic bars and nightlife.
